COVID AWARE - During these trying times we seek to find ways of ensuring our course participants and guests safely enjoy their stay with us. So for the time being we are offering alternative meal arrangements; Breakfast will be brought to your accommodation on a Butler tray. Delicious, fresh continental or bacon and egg butties both with lots of extras. There is also an undercover seating area on your doorstep with table and chairs for an ‘alfresco’ option.

Your accommodation will be prepared for your arrival with antibacterial products and sanitising having taken place.

We provide you with your own personal antibacterial hand gel for your course and stay.

Cancellations necessary due to COVID will be fully refunded. We reserve the right to also cancel (and refund) due to COVID issues.

Please be aware this is an evolving situation and will be reviewed as restrictions are eased or limitations are put in place.

Located within easy reach of Dartmoor for walking and Tarka Trail Cycle Route on our doorstep. This is the heart of War Horse country with plenty of scope for stunning walks and traditional Inns to enjoy open fires and lazy lunches.

There is limited availability so please book early.

Your Accommodation

The Tack Room - your accommodation is located near to but separate from the main farm house. It's a cabin with a difference; basic but full of quirky details and artefacts. Your accommodation is centrally heated with an ensuite shower room, tea and coffee making, and books plus connection to rural WIFI (for those who’s needs must!)

Guest Access

We share meals in the farm house, just a few yards away. Breakfast is largely home produced and enjoyed at our table overlooking the lovely old buildings of our farm yard.

We will be here to greet you and show you round your accommodation and can provide details and information on the local area.

The Neighbourhood

The market town of Hatherleigh is within walking distance (about 30-40 minutes) but a car is useful for exploring the full range of this area of Devon. Several great pubs offer sustenance for a days walking.

This area of Devon is true War Horse country so there is plenty to explore and enjoy if this is of interest.

We are situated in the heart of Devon so both North and South coastlines are within reach by car, each location offering a whole range of vistas and facilities.

The West Country offers a number of National Trust venues as well as RHS Rosemoor at Torrington.

Getting Around

We have ample parking at the farm. For cyclists access to the Tarka Cycle Trail and National Cycling Network couldn't be better.

Walkers can enjoy plenty of routes to suit all abilities.

Other Things to Note

This is a genuine busy working farm, as free range as possible. SORRY NO PETS.
